BALUCHI'S

Bid adieu to my good buddy Akayzia before she skipped back across the pond at this Indian restaurant. She's Indian (partly) so she had a few things to say about this restaurant, notably her chicken jalfrazie, which was low on chicken and high on broccoli + cauliflower. Akayzia happens to hate veggies, but broccoli above all. Furthermore, the food took half an hour to show up - not so good when you, like me, are out on a lunch break from the office. Another minus was the fact that everything had to purchased separately; our meals did not come with nan, dal or even rice.

Now the positives >>> the lunch special is half off - which is good because I can't imagine paying $15 each for the meal we had. The nan was plentiful, hot, fluffy, delicious. The lamb vindaloo I had was outstanding, partially because I've never had it before but partially because the lamb was done properly (mutton is fairly easy to fuck up). The jafrazie was pretty delicious too - all the sauces were primed for sopping up - and although the food took 30minutes to show up initially, the repaired food came out lickety split.

End verdict ? Show up between 12-3pm and get the special. Oh, and then get something - anything - that you've never had before. Its time to experiment, kids.
