Because both Aaron and I purport to be wine aficionados, we went to this so-called "Brooklyn Bistro" for our first dinner out together. Of course, I forget the wine we had together *Cheverny?* but it was goot. Ditto the food - I had the Skate fish which was incredible and accompanied by the most tender, buttery green beans I've ever had. Meanwhile, Aaron got smoked trout salad - which tastes surprisingly like smoked salmon. Yum. The menu is a little dandelion heavy (aren't they the weeds with the spores that fly into the yard ? ick) and I'd be lying if I didn't admit that I ate bread all the way through dinner - a man cannot live on fish and veggies alone. Aesthetically pleasing yes, but man, what I wouldn't give for a potato.
